Asian food was always a favourite of the chef, Rui Sequeira, who saw an opportunity where everyone saw fear of failure. Monky came up from an inspiration in the middle of the chaos. Meant to be a digital restaurant, in only one month grew to become a real one. Along side his wife, Cristina Sequeira, they put together the space, the menu and the team ready to open a physical restaurant: Monky Restaurante Asiático by Rui Sequeira. We choose the best products an cook them exactly the way they do it on the country of origin. We have dishes from Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, India… The idea is to make people travel there through their senses. It’s a bold, exotic, vibrant place with a resident Dj from Thursday to Saturday, who welcomes everyone who wants to have a great time!
South West Bistro
Based in Marina de Lagos, the Southwest Bistro is a new concept, with homemade tapas, burgers and main meals, always with vegan options. In order to give a different gastronomic experience than usual, it is a place with a fantastic view from 1st floor on the main building of Marina, and where you can quietly enjoy a drink with an amazing sunset. Our fruits and vegetables are of regional origin and come from local producers that daily arrive at our restaurant, for our daily menus. As well as the wines, we bet on national production wines, supporting financially the producers of our country.

It is with great pleasure, we opened the newest restaurant and bar in Praia da Luz this weekend. We can’t say thank you enough for the warm welcome and hospitality we have received so far! Thank you to our staff that have worked long hours training and preparing. We are so excited about this new adventure in Luz and we are looking forward to being a part of this vibrant community! Doors open again tonight at 6pm.

Travia – Natural Wines and Food
With a focus on tapas and a curated selection of organic Portuguese wines, Travia is not your usual restaurant. It is an exercise in systemic change.
With a few meat, fish and vegetarian options, our menu changes every week. It is written on the field and what we put on a plate is what nature, ungoverned, can give us.
More than ‘local’, more than farm-to-table and more than seasonality. It is understanding, in a consistent way, what is available and it is letting go of this notion, so embedded in restaurants, of the consistency of supply.
