Born in Beirut, Gaby Charbachy graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and architecture then a Master’s degree from the Watt-Herriot University in Edinburgh.
The journey started in 2002 when the Lebanese born designer opened his first atelier, influenced by his cultural background, his cosmopolitan upbringing and his innate love for fashion as expression. He started realising his dreams by creating fantasy red carpet evening gowns, fairy tail wedding dresses, and high end cocktail attire.
Gaby Chabarchy’s designs are addressed to a modern, fashion oriented woman, who enjoys stepping outside the traditional limits. Characterised by technically challenging cuts and attention to details, his dresses are very daring yet feminine.
In 2014 “Gaby Charbachy Couture” brand started launching during the Paris fashion week and in several capitals around the world including New York, Milan and Barcelona. It is currently represented in selected prestigious boutiques worldwide and worn on international Red Carpet events. This spread gives the brand an international zest, as it appeals to women from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Gaby Charbachy Couture are modern, artistic pieces, committed to satisfy a desire for feminine and daring evening wear. The philosophy of the brand is the relentless pursuit of beauty through uniqueness of designs, and innovation in fabric. The brand’s signature is a defined silhouette that ventures between the realms of romance and femininity. Dresses are adorned with sculpted sartorial elements of impalpable fabric, creating unique volumes and a special flare.
During the fashion week of 2020, “Offset” by Gaby Charbachy was created. It is a pret a porter brand, dedicated to making artistically driven pieces, with a new twist. Ranging from tops to jackets, dresses to jumpsuits and skirts to trousers. The pieces can be worn together to create a complete look, but they can also be worn separately in another occasion creating a whole new flare. Giving the styling power to the client. The designs of OFFSET stem from the main brand, but also develop in a unique path to address the modern woman, who wants to be distinguished, relaxed in her movements, and willing to be playful in her choice of wardrobe. As such the pieces are light, comfortable, with a special edgy flare. The spirit of the collection is defined by oversized sleeves, artistic pleating, three dimensional shapes and volumetric details.
